Roasted Garlic Parmesan Pasta
This was a super simple meal because I was at the store and needed something that night. I knew I had some pasta at home and did not know what sauce or meat to add. I decided on a roasted garlic parmesan sauce and then include spices and meat at home. I added a moderate amount of chili powder, paprika, onion and garlic powder, seasoned salt, pepper, and oregano. I added some extra parmesan while it was still warm to melt it a bit then added in some grilled chicken. I then added a bit more parmesan at the end because I love cheese.
That sounds really yummy. I ran into the problem of not having spices on hand. What are your most common used spices? When you first moved in did you buy a handful of spices or did you get spices when you needed them?
ReplyDeleteI bought 10 spices at Kroger because they were 10 for $10 when I first came to Bradley. The 10 were chili powder, paprika, crushed red pepper, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cumin, black pepper, and chopped onions. Over the almost two years I have had to restock a few but some others that don't require a lot in a recipe such as oregano can last a bit longer. I use all of those all the time except the chopped onions.
