Cheesy Garlic Butter Buns

 Cheesy Garlic Butter Buns

Super easy side dish that uses things you would most likely already have on hand such as butter, Italian seasoning or simply oregano if thats all you have on hand, garlic and onion powder, a little salt, and a little pepper. Besides those all you need to purchase is some buns or rolls at the store.
First, you can set your oven to 350 degrees and then begin to make your melted butter by adding a small amount of each spice listed in a bowl with however much butter you desire. This will eventually be used to coat the buns and if you want you can later use it as a dipping sauce that tastes pretty similar to Domino's or Pizza Hut's garlic butter sauce. Heat up your butter for a bit in the microwave and mix it all nicely. I also added a very small drop of olive oil.

Next, place your dough out and you can roll it up into a ball then spread it out in a sort of cup shape, allowing you to place some cheese inside. I did a mixture of a Mexican blend cheese and mozzarella just to try out different flavors.

After you have put the cheese in the dough, wrap it up and pinch it closed to ensure no cheese comes out when in the oven. Then, you can dip the tops of each ball in the butter mixture and give each one an even coat.

Once you have all of your cheese filled dough balls ready and placed onto a cooking sheet you may place them in the oven for about 13-14 minutes or until golden brown. After you take them out, let them cool for a minute or two and if you want you can spread a little more of the garlic butter on top or just dip them into it.

  1. These look tasty. I generally don't go for rolls as I don't want to make my own dough. I might have to try this out with pizza dough.
